| Zhik Etchells Atlantic Championship Series
Four sanctioned regattas in 2010
 The Zhik 2010 Etchells Atlantic Championship Series will showcase four regional sanctioned regattas: The Long Island Sound Championship, The Atlantic Coast Championship, the Rhode Island Cup, and the U.S. National Chamionship.
The series was the brainchild of a large group of New England-based Etchells sailors who wanted to replicate the successes of the Jaguar Cup Winter Series. Four class-sanctioned events have been scheduled between June and October with a concentration of activity in Newport, RI, after the initial event, the Zhik Long Island Sound Championships in Westport, CT, June19-20. the teams will move to Newport as a base for the remainder of the series. The Zhik Atlantic Coast Championships in conjunction with the Newport Regatta, July 9-11, the Zhik Rhode Island Cup, run by Sail Newport, September 11-12 and the culmination of the series, the Zhik US Nationals, hosted and run by the New York Yacht Club October 1-3.
World-class high-performance sailing gear brand Zhik has agreed to sponsor the series as part of a strategic relationship with the Etchells class for 2010. The partnership represents an opportunity for Zhik to associate its brand excellence and innovative, technology-driven approach to delivering high-performing clothing solutions to sailors with one of the premier one-design keelboat classes in the world.
