Hull #1103

1998 Ontario Brazen Hussy, formally Champaign II. White with gray deck. First place in 2002 Jaguar Cup, 12th 2002 Worlds. The forward bulkhead has been installed by Oren in August of 2008. The boom is new this past August 2008, provided by Rigging Systems. There are two masts: a Sparloft with 5 years on it that is still stiff and very straight, and the spare is a Proctor with two seasons on it that’s almost as stiff as the Sparloft. Ronstan Sealock turnbuckles, Dyform lowers on both sets of rigging; the headstay fix was done by Oren in 2006. A spin halyard cup was added to the cuddy by Oren along with forward jib sheet fine tune and jib tack adjusters. Oren also added dual cams to the jib halyard. Tacktic Micro and drysail cover included. Single-axle Burtek trailer with a new hitch in 2008, and added grease fittings to the wheels in 2006. Two sailboxes and a tongue box. Spare tire. DC-style tiller in glass. New DC+ main for 2008, used three race days; five sails left on the card for 2008. Located in Chicago.

Hull #1098

Race ready -- the hull is in excellent shape and stiff. Custom tiller, boat cover, stiff Proctor mast, fine tune on the jib sheet but otherwise rigging kept simple for an Etchells. Trailer is double-axle with three Ontario dock boxes for carting around everything. Sail card is wide open. Full complement of sails including new Doyle main and jib sailed one regatta only. Dirk worked the keel and rudder to optimize shape and whole boat has been faired. Boat located in Houston. This boat is fast; we were told be Dirk and Jud not to sell and upgrade to a new boat as the few built in this run are some of the fastest ever (D. Connor and Dave Curtis also had boats in this same run). Reason for selling: owner chasing kids around in Optimists.

Hull #1010

Good solid ’94 Ontario boat with lots of competitive sails. Bottom is VC epoxy and is in great shape. Topsides in very good condition, having been re-gelcoated by Brian Bennett in 2001. Cradle Ride trailer with twin boxes. Boat has been fleet racing for the last six years. Stored inside during the winter. Cockpit area shows some wear and tear but nothing performance-related. Reason for selling: I have a second boat (#1212) and there’s not enough local fleet racing to justify both. Will deliver anywhere in the Northeast, perhaps further.

Ontario boat, White Lightning, with trailer. There are two slightly used sails, a spinnaker and a full cover. The previous owner had the boat completely redone (in 2007) for competition racing. She has new blocks, rigging, lines and flooring. The bottom was professionally redone at the same time. The only things that were not replaced are the mast, the boom and the backstay. Pearson 1976 hull. She's is in a great condition given its age. No leaks, no big damage, only cosmetic stuff. Freshwater sailed for at least the last five years. Includes 3 main, 3 jibs, 2 spinnakers, spinnaker pole, anchor, topping list, outboard engine mount (mount only, no engine). Hull #74
She sat in storage before my owning it since the early 80s The boat is currently in Marquette, MI, in a B-52 hanger on KI Sawyer, and has been there in dry storage with the trailer on blocks (new tires) for 3-4 years now. It is all white with a blue stripe and the waterline, and sits on a single axle trailer, with an aluminum mast/boom. I believe I have 9 sails for it, 2 mains, 2 spinnakers, but are obviously older sails due to the timing of ownership (3-4 of which have never been used). All original teak floor and tiller is in great shape, and all cables for the rigging are there. She has the traditional rigging with 2 winches on the deck and no center console. There are no lines at all. Could have it delivered in the midwest possibly (esp in IL, WI, & MI). From the fleet info: "The bit of information shows that the number was issued in July 1979. The original owners were: R.W. Leith, Jr & R. Doyle and subsequent owner was Frank Hart." If you are interested in donating old lines that are still in decent (safe) condition, it could lead me to actually being able to sail the boat in the future rather than selling, so please contact me as well.

Hull #55
Brief history of 55: She spent many years in Newport, CA, racing with the fleet down there. In the late 1990s she was bought by a gentleman from Gibbons, BC, and moved there. He never put her in the water. My brother-in-law and I bought her in 2004 and moved her to Seattle. We extensively rebuilt and upgraded her. In 2005 we moved her to San Francisco where she now sits. Boat was measured for the SF Worlds a few years ago; she weighed in about 20 lbs over min. weight. Upgrades: New dual-axle trailer (2004) with sail box and storage box; two masts, Australian and old Proctor; three sets of main and jib sails; one spinnaker; New North sails used less than 10 times. Practice sails by North in good shape. New running rigging and controls; work mostly done in SF, has all desired gross and fine tune lines; tapered main, jib and spin sheets; spin bag, sheet bags, cockpit cover. Movable mast butt. Lightweight carbon tiller. Located SF Bay area.
